YXDB Reader
Reads an Alteryx .yxdb file, keeping its field types and its spatial objects as geometry.
Also known as: Alteryx database, YXDB
How it works
The drone converts the .yxdb to Parquet once, in a process of its own, and reads every preview and run from that copy. The copy is made again when the file changes. Both layouts Alteryx writes are read: the original engine's and the AMP engine's. Field types come from the file, so nothing is sniffed. Spatial objects become geometry in longitude and latitude, ready for the map and the spatial nodes such as Buffer. The Python export does not include this node: convert the file to Parquet with Write Parquet and read that instead.
