Table Section
Puts a table in a report with a heading, optional commentary, a row cap, totals and highlighting. Number formats come from Format Table.
Also known as: Report table
How it works
Wire the table in and give the section a Heading and, if you want, Commentary printed under the table; both are optional, and the Commentary field has a Generate comment button, which reads Improve comment once there is text, that drafts from a sample of the data. Max rows (1000 by default) caps what is printed; the section still records the full row count, so a capped table says what it left out. Number formats come from Format Table upstream.
Under Totals, Subtotal by picks the grouping columns and Group order sorts the groups by name or by an aggregate of a column; Grand total row adds a single Total row at the foot with a label you can change; Total columns ticks the numeric columns to sum. Under Conditional rules each rule names a column, an operator (such as <, =, contains or is blank), a value or another column to compare with, and whether to style the row or just the cell, with a fill in one of the theme's colours (positive, warning, negative or accent, or none) and an optional bold. Rules apply in order. Report Assembly places the section in the layout.

The Attributes panel of Table Section, as in the app: the controls work, but nothing runs — there is no data behind it.

Example
A sales-by-region table for a monthly report. Heading "Sales by region", Subtotal by region, Total columns revenue and units, Grand total row on, and one rule: margin_pct < 10, cell, negative.
