Image Section

Adds an image, such as a logo, product photo or site plan, to a report.

Also known as: Logo, picture

How it works

Press Pick image… and choose a PNG or JPEG. The node stores a reference to the file and reads it when the pipeline runs, so a teammate without that file sees the node but not the picture. Fit decides how the image meets its space: Original (the default) keeps its own size, Contain fits the whole image inside, and Cover fills the space and crops to the Aspect you pick (16:9, 4:3, 1:1 or 3:1); the crop happens once when the section is built, so PDF and HTML render the identical image. Heading and Commentary are optional and print above and under the image. The node has no data input; Report Assembly places the section in the layout.

Settings

The Attributes panel of Image Section, as in the app: the controls work, but nothing runs — there is no data behind it.

The same settings, as the Assistant writes them
{
  heading?: string
  commentary?: string
  fit: "original"|"contain"|"cover"
  aspectW?: number
  aspectH?: number
}

the image file itself is picked by the user in the node’s panel — never set a path; "cover" crops to aspectW:aspectH (e.g. 16 and 9), "contain" fits the whole image in its space

Example

A site plan for a store-opening report. Pick site-plan.png, set Fit to Cover with Aspect 16:9 so it fills a wide tile, Heading "Proposed site", and Commentary "Plan as submitted to the council, June 2026."
