Generate

Writes a piece of text for each row from its values, such as a one-line summary of each order.

Also known as: Per-row text, mail merge

How it works

Describe in the prompt box the text you want for each row and which columns it should use, then press Generate. The app asks the AI service for Python that writes the text from templates or rules over the row values, so no model is called when the pipeline runs. The code appears in the Code tab, where you can read and edit it before it runs. The prompt must be filled in before Generate is enabled, and the node has nothing to run until the code exists. To feed a value in at run time, write ${{ param.name }} in the code: the node grows a params input, and row 0 of the table wired into it replaces the token when the pipeline runs. A Save as custom node button in the panel header keeps the result in your library.

Outputs

Settings

The Attributes panel of Generate, as in the app: the controls work, but nothing runs — there is no data behind it.

Example

An orders table has customer, items and total. Prompt: "Add a column summary: '<customer> ordered <items> items for $<total>', with the total to two decimals." Generate, review the code, then wire the result into an Email node to send the lines in the body.
