DB Reader
Reads a table from a PostgreSQL or MySQL database through a saved connection. You pick the schema and table.
Also known as: Postgres, MySQL, SQL input
How it works
The node reads one table over a saved PostgreSQL or MySQL connection. Connection picks a credential from Credentials; a connection string never sits on the node. Table names the table and is the one field you can bind to a column of the Loop's Current item, so a loop reads several tables from the same server. Schema is optional and qualifies the table. The node does not run until a connection and a table are set.
Inputs and outputs
Inputs
None — this node starts a workflow.
Outputs
data— Table
Settings
The Attributes panel of DB Reader, as in the app: the controls work, but nothing runs — there is no data behind it.
Example
An orders table in the sales schema of a Postgres warehouse. Pick the saved connection, type orders in Table and sales in Schema. To read every table of the schema in turn, feed a Loop with a DB Directory and bind Table to its table column.
